This is usually a 1-hour interactive discussion with our clients providing creative ideas and/or solutions to help with their project. From here we can provide a project estimate for the work. Consultation/advice is an hourly fee.

• Discussion on plant ideas for small areas. We can provide a plant list and photos after the consultation.

• Color ideas for the garden & patio ~ “bloom & foliage” ~ shrubs, roses, perennials and annuals ideas.

• Providing ideas and solutions to problem areas in the landscape.

Landscape Design Plan

Our process for designing landscape projects that require a scale plan, project details, planting layout, and plant list.

Preliminary items

• We meet with our client to view the property and discuss their goals for the project.

• Discussion is centered on creative ideas and suggestions, plants & color preferences, elements important for the design, and issues/concerns that may influence the project.

• We provide a landscape design proposal detailing what is involved in the design, overall design schedule, other pertinent information, and the estimated cost. Once approved we proceed with the landscape design plan.

Design process

• Our design team then does their on-site study which involves time to consider existing site conditions, design ideas and options, and other criteria important for the design plan.

• If required, we prepare conceptual design options in layout/space requirements, bed shape(s), plant ideas and other elements necessary for project goals and meet with our clients to discuss which option best suits their wants and needs. From this meeting we develop the final landscape design plan.

• Our designer creates the design plan inclusive of plant ideas and other design elements to meet the creative goals for the project.

Presenting the design plan and creative ideas

• The final plan is reviewed with our client, and we present a copy of the design plan, a plant list (inclusive of plant photos) and other ideas/suggestions that may be essential to the design plan and project goals.

• We feel that with plants being one of the most important components of the landscape design it is helpful if we provide with the plant list, information on mature size, bloom color and seasonal timeframe, foliage color and maintenance advice.

• At this point we can provide an estimate for installation and recommendations for follow-up garden maintenance.
